Areas I Work With & Don't Work With

I Work with a Wide Range of Emotional, Relational, and Psychological Experiences.
I’ve always loved general practice because people bring such a rich variety of stories, challenges, and strengths. No two people are the same, and I value the opportunity to meet you exactly where you are, with whatever you’re carrying.
My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for the ways you’ve learned to survive.
Whether you’re coming with something specific or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right, you’re welcome here.

General Practice, with Areas of Special Interest
Although I work with most general presentations, there are certain areas where I have either developed experience through my clinical work or undertaken additional specialist training. This ensures the support I offer is grounded in both practical experience and ongoing professional development.
These include:
• Misophonia & Misokineasia
• OCD
• Anxiety
• Trauma and Nervous System Overwhelm
• Narcissistic abuse recovery

Who I’m Not Able to Work With
To ensure you receive the safest and most appropriate support, there are some situations that require a different level of care than I can provide in private practice.
I’m not able to offer counselling or psychotherapy to people who are:
• experiencing severe or acute mental health difficulties that require multidisciplinary or crisis‑level support
• living with an active alcohol or drug dependency
• experiencing active suicidal intent, meaning a current intention or plan to end life
This is because these presentations require a multi-disciplinary team that private practice cannot replicate and because what is most important to me is that you receive the best level of care available.
I can work with people who experience suicidal ideation — thoughts, feelings, or fears about not wanting to be here — as long as there is no active intent or plan. Many people experience these thoughts during times of distress, and they can be explored safely and compassionately within therapy.
If you are unsure where you fall, we can talk about this gently in our first meeting.
A Safe, Supportive Space
My aim is always to offer a space where you can bring your full self — your emotions, your history, your patterns, your hopes, your fears — and be met with warmth, steadiness, and genuine care.
If you’re wondering whether I’m the right therapist for you, you’re welcome to book a free one‑hour initial session so we can meet and explore what you need. That way you can get a real sense of me and if I feel like a good fit for you.
